About Me

I have over ten years of experience working with both individuals and couples as a psychodynamic psychotherapist and a contemporary relational psychoanalyst. I have advanced training in contemporary psychoanalytic and psychodynamic treatment modalities and in emotionally focused therapy (EFT). I also teach and supervise clinicians in training.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as a lawyer in private practice and in government. As a former attorney, I have experience working in high-pressure professional environments and with career transitions. I bring the analytic rigor and inquisitive spirit of the legal profession into my therapeutic work.
While I love working with a wide variety of people and conditions, I have particular expertise working with LGBTQIA+ communities, emerging adults, and people wrestling with romantic and familial relationships and career challenges.
I currently serve on the Board of Directors at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP) and am a Co-Director of Supervision for candidates seeking advanced training in psychoanalysis there. I am also a member of the International Association of Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP), the National Institute for the Psychotherapies Professional Association (NIPPA), the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT), and the New York Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy (NYCEFT).
I received my undergraduate degree from Brown University, a J.D. from NYU, and an M.S.W. from NYU. I hold a license in clinical social work (LCSW).
